?!X: What’s the Future You Choose?

MY: Not a singular utopia, but a world that is more free from oppression, inequality and hierarchy, with a population more free to follow creative and individual pursuits, and with the current impending dangers of nuclear, climate and capitalistic destruction lessened.

?!X: What’s a ‘think’ to create this future?

MY: Two books in particular: Mikhail Bakunin, ‘Statism and Anarchy‘; James Joyce, ‘Ulysses‘.

?!X: What’s an ‘act’ to create the future you choose?

MY: Join the following campaigns (information available online): for an immediate end to the punitive and highly disproportionate sentencing of young people involved in the recent riots, for Talha Ahsan to have a fair trial in Britain, for an end to racist stop and search laws, for an end to the public sector cuts in the UK, for an end to British military intervention abroad, for increased financial regulation, for increased taxes on the super-rich, for sending books to prisoners in British jails.

?!X: What’s a ‘vote’ to create the future you choose?

MY: Campaigns mentioned above, but in addition: keep informed by reading Ceasefire magazine! (www.ceasefiremagazine.co.uk)

?!X: Future Soundtrack – What song would you take with you into the future?

J.S. Bach – Goldberg Variation #15 (played by Glenn Gould, 1981/2)
