Gemma Sheldrake is an Illustrator and comic artist who graduated earlier this year from the University of Gloucestershire. She dapples between adorably cute female work to gory mature content. When she’s not playing video games involving shooting zombies, she’s working on her online webcomic The Wastelands. She also contributes fashion illustrations to Amelia’s Magazine and comics to the independent UK self-press circles. She aspires one day to work in the video game industry as 2D concept artist.
Gemma has done a piece of illustration for Think Act Vote’s book “Creating The Future” which will be launched in March – she illustrated actress Patsy Palmer’s Future “The Future I Choose is be filled with love. No War. Enough food and water for the WHOLE world. A safe place for our children.” We can’t wait to share it with you!

GS: A world where everyone has their rights, their freedom, their happiness. Where they are not governed by how much money they have or where they live.
?!X: What’s a ‘think’ to create this future?
GS: “The art of living does not consist in preserving and clinging to a particular mood of happiness, but in allowing happiness to change its form … happiness, like a child, must be allowed to grow up.” – Charles L. Morgan.
?!X: What’s an ‘act’ to create the future you choose?
GS: To raise our children and educate ourselves about the importance of this earth and human life. That no religion is greater than the other and we all strive for peace and happiness to every being, be it great or small.
?!X: What’s a ‘vote’ to create the future you choose?
GS: Greenpeace has my vote, they work hard to protect our rainforests and oceans, these people fight for our future.
?!X: Future Soundtrack – What song would you take with you into the future?
GS: Charlie Chaplin’s famous speech in The Great Dictator combined with Funkadelic’s Maggot Brain. A powerful mix of inspirational words and the most mind blowing emotional guitar rifts.
