James Parr’s Future is one “where putting the environment first is a reflex”
Illustrated by Gareth Barnes: “I chose this ‘future’ as I could readily visualise potential illustrations for it. I also agree environmental issues should be a greater priority. I wanted to draw a figure dressed in a suit. The suit representing those (politicians, corporate businessman), who have abused and disregarded environmental issues as it’s not in their interests to do so. I therefore depicted him as though he was focused entirely on the environment, especially wildlife, and the care of it.”
