David de Rothschild's Future artwork by Kirstie Battson

David de Rothschild’s Future:

The future I would choose for tomorrow is one where today we all dare to dream bigger, undertake greater adventures, tell richer stories and strive to be more curious there by collectively solving the issues that we know the future will hold.

Artwork by Kirstie Battson:

I chose David de Rothchild’s future as it encompasses positive ideals of change – encouraging us to dream, seek out new experiences, and explore. In the current economic climate, where it can be hard to find time for oneself and stay hopeful, it’s nice to imagine a future where one can be productive and excited about what may come. I used this notion of productivity to help create my image; with pencils, buildings, and trees representing creativity, growth, and constructive change respectively in our future. The whole notion itself is still depicted as a dream however, as this future isn’t yet a certainty – it is something that we must shape and nurture.
