Rachel Saw is a working mom of 2 and feels blessed.  She has a loving, happy and healthy (immediate and extended) family.  A challenging and fulfilling job that allows her to look after her family both financially and emotionally. This allows her to think about what she can do to build a better world.  Like everyone else, she has her constraints – financial, time, feasibility – but small things don’t cost much and they add up.  Things like teaching your children to respect others, by saying please and thank you, recycling, showering and not taking baths.

?!X: What’s the Future You Choose?

RS: The Future I choose is one where everyone thinks and acts for the greater good, and not for their own benefit.  Imagine if each person were to stop and think about the impact of their actions on themselves, the people around them and the world as a whole.  Would we then be so quick to snap at our partners, children, employees or so remiss as to let the tap run and leave the lights on all day?

?!X: What’s a ‘think’ to create this future?

RS: It’s cliche, but my ‘THINK?’ was having children. I invest everything in them, my love, my time, my effort and all I want is for them to grow up safe and happy and to have a positive impact on the people around them.

?!X: What’s an ‘act’ to create the future you choose?

RS: We can all just try to be a better person, to be more considerate of the people around us and more aware of the consequences of our choices on the environment. It’s a lesson we can pass on to our children and all around us.  Be the role model.

?!X: What’s a ‘vote’ to create the future you choose?

RS:

?!X: Future Soundtrack – What song would you take with you into the future?

RS: Tequila by Terrorvision – it’s my happy song

?!X: What are your five all time favourite weblinks?

RS: I’m a working mom with a 4 yr old and a 10 mth old – I’ve not had the opportunity to cultivate favourite weblinks!  I read the news sites and that’s it.
