A Note On The New Edition
What struck me during the process of creating this book was how beautiful people are.
The visions, inspirations and actions shared in these pages are the makings of a beautiful future.
The future is beautiful because the human spirit is beautiful.
Despite the challenges we face as a global community, or the pressures that we meet in our daily lives,
when we stop and dare to dream, to ask ourselves the big questions and to share what we are already doing,
we create the future that we wish to wake up for.
Our time here is precious. It’s easy to forget. When we connect to our
hearts and minds, and what unites us, our innate goodness and beauty,
we find so much possibility, so much opportunity.
This is the revolution.
It’s happening right now.
It’s to be found in the day to day moments of our lives.
When we encounter it we feel more alive.
You don’t have to be anything that you are not already.
Find your voice. Speak your truth. Embody your values.
Let this book be your guide, let it illuminate your soul where it may
have grown dim or tired. Let the spark of joy, light and hope that
each of these contributions holds inspire you.
Let your imagination run wild. Create the future.
We are the Future.
About The Future Is Beautiful
How will you create beauty in the world?
Every one of us has ideas and personal experiences to share that can lead us to a brighter future. In the pages of this book, over two hundred people reveal their vision of the world they want to live in and the ways in which we can think, act and vote to create it. Beautifully illustrated, this is a personal, political exploration of what we value, and how we can live these values our daily life.
This book is an invitation to you, wherever you are in the world, to imagine the future of your choice and inspire us to build it with you. Our global future is created by all of us, together. The Future Is Beautiful is the start of a new conversation for making that happen.
