About this interview:
How can we dismantle walls of oppression and build communities rooted in belonging?
Jewels shares how she is bringing alive her inspiring vision that teaches us to thrive in our diverse differences and in relationship with the land. She reveals how her teachings nourish a form of autonomous reciprocal leadership that embeds us into nature, and that she hopes will evolve and resource our sense of empathy and collective community.
We learn that living and thriving with our diverse differences is a way of breaking through colonial legacies of mono crop culture. There are small moments every day, where we can commit to forging changes along this path, moments where we notice the beauty and creativity of life that remind us of our common ground and that are essential for our survival ultimately bringing us deeper into circles of belonging.
“We need to come and embed ourselves back into the context that we are nature.” ~Jewels Wingfield
